This operational hub of simulation-based clinical training improves the outcome of care for Veterans across the country.
SimLEARN is a high-technology, immersive program that uses a train-the-trainer model to quickly and efficiently prepare a cadre of qualified instructors who can, in turn, deliver world-class simulation-based clinical training at their respective VA sites using standardized curricula and equipment. SimLEARN provides a high-fidelity, immersive training environment by replicating actual patient treatment areas, including both an outpatient clinic setting and an inpatient/hospital setting. Ten classrooms accommodate up to 160 students for the development and delivery of national training curricula, which is recorded on video for classroom debriefing.
