This facility optimizes delivery of patient-centered care in a world-class evidence-based design setting.
Description
RLF provided full design of a three-story replacement outpatient clinic with primary, ancillary and specialty care services supporting more than 14,000 beneficiaries. The design team worked closely with the client to navigate the new site’s constraints, including rolling hills with a 20-foot vertical deviation. At the 35% design completion stage, a new patient-centered model facilitated by RLF was applied. With the building envelope already fixed, medical planners had to carefully review each departmental layout to determine where additional efficiencies could be gained while maintaining optimal functional flexibility.
LEED Silver certified
Features a solar thermal domestic hot water system that supplies 50% of the facility needs
