Meet RLF Associate and Senior Interior Designer Cindy Elkin, CHID, IIDA, NCIDQ, SEGD! One of two RLF team members who have earned the Certified Healthcare Interior Designer® (CHID) credential from the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID), Cindy chose to pursue the CHID credential to test and validate her knowledge of healthcare design.
AAHID describes the CHID credential as “the key indicator of expertise, comprehension, and application of current codes and protocols that protect and improve the health and safety of patients, residents, family members and healthcare providers. CHIDs are readily recognized and respected for demonstrated integrity and commitment.”
An expert in telling the client’s story through the built environment, Cindy is a natural teacher and group facilitator. She enjoys deepening her relationships within the design community by sponsoring and mentoring other designers who want to achieve the CHID accreditation.
