As we celebrate the anniversary of the Brannon Center in New Smyrna Beach, we can’t help but talk about how much the center has become associated with its distinctive roofline. In fact, RLF’s design for the roofline was adopted by the Brannon Center for its logo.
“You cannot talk about the Brannon Center without mentioning that it is an architecturally interesting building, and the roofline is unusual for anything in the area. From the inside, you have a phenomenal view of the Intracoastal Waterway with our floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s that view that sets us apart.” -Shonna Green, Brannon Center Manager
With a roofline reminiscent of a wind-filled sail, the Brannon Center fits perfectly in its nautical setting along the Indian River. Sited to take advantage of its proximity and connections to both the riverfront and the historic downtown business district, the 14,000-square-foot building includes a 6,500-square-foot main assembly space, 1,950-square-foot lobby, 340-square-foot catering kitchen, and a 7,500-square-foot terrace along the waterfront. A green space on the south side of the building provides a lovely area for outdoor concerts and performances.
