What do we mean when we say that we design high-performing places? The definition depends on the priorities of our client.
For Bishop Moore Catholic High School (BMC), RLF designed the Bishop Moore Center for Excellence to support the school’s continued academic and athletic excellence, reflect the school’s unique culture and identity and successfully engage the valued BMC community. A multi-use facility, the Center is located on a previously underutilized space on campus and includes classrooms, fitness and training rooms, locker rooms, an athletic director office suite and a tunnel providing access to the stadium field for the team’s traditional entry and exit.
We also designed the facility to “bring alumni back to campus, back to their home,” as President Thomas Doyle noted on dedication day. With an 1,100-square-foot alumni center, a catering kitchen, event space and a reception hall with two balconies overlooking sports fields, the Center acts as a hub for the active BMC community. The facility even includes a gift store where fans of all ages can indulge in their favorite Hornets merchandise.
The Bishop Moore Center for Excellence is now the most booked space on campus, inspiring maximum engagement and providing optimal community and financial value for the school—a high-performing place for high-performing people!
