RLF provided planning and design of a replacement hospital, clinic alterations, utility plant building, ambulance shelter, and helipad on a remote site in the Mojave Desert. Flexible, functional layouts incorporate state-of-the-art technologies to improve inpatient and outpatient services and staff efficiency. The project is designed to become the world’s first net zero, carbon-neutral hospital, incorporating conservation and efficiency design principles to achieve a Platinum level certification. A two-megawatt solar energy farm generates all of its energy needs.
