Our unique 5-step method infuses this shared knowledge into every project, consistently elevating the quality of our work and the value we bring to our clients:
An intensive, broad project kick-off designed to capture the full spirit of the project and the context to measure its success. We probe deeply to uncover valuable insights of our client’s vision + goals, and how these will drive the design. This is a collaborative effort between the client and the entire design team to ensure an understood, shared vision for the project and what will make it a success.
Following the listening stage, relevant knowledge is gathered. This research includes various information pertaining to the client’s needs and desires. Information is gathered in three different categories:
- Project Data
- Industry/Client Data
- Trends/Case Studies
The knowledge base created through our research initiatives lays the foundation to generate relevant solutions that meet the client’s goals. Multiple directions are investigated in a charrette format. The solutions are evaluated for their potential in meeting the client’s goals, maximizing value and design excellence.
With the client’s buy-in, the selected concept is further developed. The project team executes the project plan through rigorous collaboration, progressing the design and aligning it with the project budget, scope and schedule. The project plan identifies key tasks and schedules multiple control reviews internally and externally with the client. Through this phase, the team applies innovation and technical design to further progress the concept to reality.
The project goals are confirmed through a full evaluation of the new environment during construction and after. Actual performance is measured, documented, commissioned, and evaluated against the initial goals set. Opportunities for improving the environment through energy/water usage, reduced maintenance/operations, increased staff productivity, and user-experience/satisfaction are identified, measured, documented and shared.
