Junior Interior Designer

Career Opportunity Details

Full-time junior level position for a creative, energetic individual with a passion for learning and interior design. This individual will be a supporting team member to the interior design department and needs to be highly self-motivated and work efficiently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Support senior designers
  • Create construction documents from schematic through construction documents in Revit
  • Select and specify interior commercial finishes
  • Participate in design charettes
  • Select and specify furniture
  • Coordinate and collaborate with in house architects, engineers and outside consultants
  • Meet and coordinate with product manufacturers

Travel:

  • This position will require occasional travel to attend client meetings and conduct site visits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program with the ability to pursue licensure in the near future.
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial interior design
  • Experience with design, construction and material selection
  • Proficiency in Revit is a must
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail oriented
  • Professional demeanor
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Sketch Up or Lumion desirable
  • Has taken NCIDQ exam or is has started the process for exam qualifications
  • Healthcare design experience a plus
